from Onboard ths Ship Orang Fine at Falmouth
Haveing but a Minute or two of time now to write, the vesell being at Sayle by whom. I now send, Thought it my duty to give you an account of what I have – noated down from an Indian Prisoner now onboard this Ship, wch was taken at Pemaquid it being an Examination taken before Capt Davis who is now here present, This Capt of ths Ship seems to be much concerned for the good of the English here, and for that and cam in [illegible], he is not yet determined in his minde whether to leave the prisoner here or to bring him to Boston.
Our soldiers here begin to Inquire for Cloathing Shoes & Blankets, and if you think good to allow them sumthing suitable to make straw beds, our Captaine desires tt some swan shot may be seut, here is wanting about 6 m of shingle nayles to cover the stoar room in the food also a few single & double board - nayles, also a paire of Smiths Bellows, Also I would request your [illegible] Honors to Informate to me what allowance of Rum the soldiers must have, as yet I have allowed them a pint among six men for each day they are upon a March, they Expect the sam while they lie Still being tould by same here present that the Canfrog allows it, please to give me orders what to do in that case, our pork is most part of it Spout, please to give me order to Irrepent coffeee or rather send sutiable effect to purchase the same wch I suppose will be cheaper so to do I suppose Capt Phillips can Inform what goods are sutiable for this place, please to Excuse my rude brevity being in haste remayn.
