I made this painting to honor our lost sisters. This is a national plight affecting the female Indigenous population. Statistics show the alarming number of cases affecting our population. This painting was done in support of this movement, to raise awareness and acknowledge those lost sisters and their families—Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women (MMIW).
